6v to 12v conversion kits

Looking for an Australian distributer for a 12 volt change over kit something like this -

http://www.vwparts.net/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=VWP&Pr...

Have looked at one or two places I know of based in Australia and found nothing, so started to price individual parts, but they exceeded the price of the US retailer, although the US shipping fee pretty much negated the cheaper price.

Anybody know of anywhere here in Australia that sells something similar?

The head lights are no good for use in Australia, as for the rest it gives you a complete kit, the Aussie Dollar is at $1.09 at the moment so it makes good sense to import it yourself, no gst only freight.

Notice how much is missing from that kit like dash lights and important bits that makes the heart of the car kinda.... work.

Engine isn't gonna be real happy without a 12 volt choke and cut off solenoid on the carb.
Not all 6 volt bugs had cut off solenoids but some did and a 6 volt starter will work on 12 volts but if you want it to last it really needs a 12 volt solenoid to stop it slamming the shit out of the ring gear.

With the cost of shipping and such it wouldnt be much difference in cost to get all that stuff here.
