Not a fan. But they have improved on the dash and interior a hell of a lot.

I don't mind it. Some parts don't look as good as the NB, but other parts look better. Seems like it will be a bit more practical - the NB was useable, but did lack in a few areas.

ok,

for a start those are old pictures, and the car is fugly, check these out:

http://www.caranddriver.com/news/car/11q2/2012_volkswagen_beetle_official_pho...

these fotos are much much more accurate.

the official pictures are so much better and more pleasing to eye, I'd buy one.

Regardless of what it looks like (and I'm not a fan) I wish they would call it something else. It just doesn't have anything much in common with the "real" beetle.

Hi

I wonder if you still sit metre away from the windscreen like on the previous models?

So what do you call the current new Beetle when these are released? New old Beetle or old new Beetle? Will this Beetle be called the new new Beetle?

I like the looks, although I think it would look better with older style headlights like the 60's Beetle or 911.

I dont like the front wheel drive factor.

Would I have one, Yes!

I'm with you Cam! Exactly what I was thinking- as a stand alone car I don't mind it, the upgraded lights are nice, however when you make a direct comparison to the original beetle it pails in comparison.

Everytime I look at it, it reminds me of a squished Continental

Or perhaps the continental is a stretched Bug?

Looks like they smashed the new beetle together with a pt cruiser to me. Unfortunately not a winning combo in my book.

I always laughed at the irony, you could swing a cat and still not hit the windscreen in one yet a real beetle you would slam your nose on the windscreen just turning up the stereo.

I hate it .. I think they would sell a dam site more if they took the 60's shape beetle, leave the looks unchaged .. and threw all of todays tech into it.... WIN

No i'm not repainting it.
