red light!,(fixed!)


..hi,the red generator/alternater light came on in my '70 square yesterday for the first time in 3 and a half years of daily driving,it has not affected the drive in any way and has started up this morning no problem,both the red lights are coming on before i turn her over which is good i was just wondering if its gonna be ok to drive to work tomorrow and go to my mechanic on the way home or not drive it at all?,any thoughts?,cheers!

brother could be anything start with the simple stuff ya belt make sure has good tension /connectons on geni/brushes on geni/also have a look at ya reg under ya back seat it may be a one of good luck

....checked the belt,fine,as i was putting the access lid back on i saw that one of the wires had corroded and come away from the gen',new wire and fixing and bobs your uncle,easy fix,sometimes its the simplest thing,..lucky me!!,cheers for your reply robb
