aluminum firewall panels

Does anybody know where to get aluminum firewall panels for a beetle in Australia? I can get them from the states but i'm kinda getting over it. I know you can get the stainless shiney ones from just about anywhere but i don't like them.

Thanks
Mick.

You can just buy a sheet of 1.6MM aluminium, make a cardboard template and once you are happy with the fit transfere it onto the aluminium sheet and cut it out

You're right you know, I'm just being lazy.... I should probably look into that as it will probably end up 1/3 of the price.

Dude... isn't it a drag car ???

Apply the weight test. If you throw a part in the air, and it falls to the ground... then unless 100% necessary it's too heavy.

Yeah, but I painted it, the paint had a reaction and now it looks like a turd.... And for the little weight of that much aluminium I think it out weighs the turd look.....
