EJ22-difference between auto and manual

hey guys,
going to take the big leap into Subie power, and have found a liberty with an ej22 but its auto.
Can someone please confirm for me that the only difference between the auto and the manual is the flywheel. I'd hate to get this car and find out subaru did something really silly like run a different crank in the two variants. appreciate any help.
cheers Johno

Both mine have been from Autos.
The engine itself is no different, its only the flex plate thats bolted on with short bolts so you would need to find some longer manual flywheel bolts if the kit doesn't come with them.
They are a special M10x1.25 bolt with a shoulder and a 14mm head, not something you can buy from Blackwoods.

Even the ECU seems to be the same, I got one of my replacement ones out of a manual, seems one wire is grounded or left open circuit so the ECU knows if it's in a manual or auto.
