First ever track day!
I entered the MSCT Track Day out at Symmonns Plains raceway yesterday and thought id post it here!
The track day went well! Two seconds and a third, and 31st overall (out of 40 cars) the handling was rubbish! The pictures explain the lack of
competitivness due to rear ride height.
Its running a 1916cc engine, twin webber 40's, 1200 box and standard drum brakes with 14x6 wide rims and 215/65R14 rims.
Got a set of coils in the back which made it far too high, so will be ordering a set of gas shockers all round, slipping a 1500 box in and ill see how
it goes.
Off the mark the car is very very quick, but the brakes and corners killed it. I was saved by a camber compensator though! Best $130 ever spent!
Will also be looking at upgrading to disc front brakes. It willl make the car a better daily!
Apart from that the car pulled a top speed of oil-light, Nearly 100mp/h im thinking, and overall a great day!

Biggest claim to fame was shitting all over the CooperS!
Cheers Will

Fantastic sound great. Keep it up. Were you happy with the engnie?
I would lower the rear so that it sits 1" lower than the fornt and then maybe fit limiting straps if you are getting too much positive camber still.
Looks like you had a blast.

Awesome, i've been there with the positive camber. When using a camber compensator you need to pre load it and take some weight off the rear torsion
bars as said lowering will help.
You may also need to think about getting a stiffer spring for the compensating bar as the off the shelf ones are a bit flimsy.
Great work in beating the Coopers!!! Love it!!

Yeah well done,
when using a compensator ( cable) i would have it tensioned do that when you jack the rear of the car up, the wheels stay level to near level, that
will stop your wheels flopping into positive camber.
Great work,
