for sale is a friends karmann ghia 1960
resprayed 5 years ago in silver, job was very average.
car has a twinport motor with a weber on it. feels like a 1776 or so, But due to no confirmation will be sold and priced as a 1600tp.
karmann comes with Brand new brake components incl wheel cyls, hoses shoes etc.
currently running dropped spindles - these lowered the car far too much and to get the vehicle out of the workshop and onto a trailer, the guards were
unfortunately tapped from behind to give enough clearance.
since then, the previous owner purchased a Narrowed beam to suit. intentions were for this to go on, but new projects and financial difficulties, the
car is up for sale.
Interior is complete; seats, door cards, gauges etc. all in good condition as per pics.
Car is sold with front and rear bars with fair chrome.
there has been 1 spot of rust found which is about 2" in diameter - on the firewall behind the pedal cluster.
Other than that, car seems to be rust free.
Apparently this car has some bog in places and is sold cheaper than this reflects.
If car is taken to sydney, i can have it resprayed & guards repaired accordingly in any colour at a discounted price.
Currently located in Nth QLD but can be taken anywhere in aus, to sydney $800. melb $950 etc

Hey kg looks good - I remember other kgs on here for similar dollars that end up disasterville - there is no photos of where rust hangs out - like
door sills - and beam beneath doors etc.
Is the car registerd - what narrowed beam was purchased - is the brakes both drums?
Could be interested as on the verge of shovelling same dollars plus more in the 1960 kg project currently split in two in shed but it sure would be
nice to drive one for a period.
Can you take some more photos detailing rust normal hangouts and some interior shots as i am in western australia and would nave to buy sight unseen

sure can send me your address and ill shoot through some more pics, car is rust free other than the spot on the firewall, which really could be
patched with sikaflex if you had no welding skills, its very minute.
narrowed beam is new and needs assembly of king n link pins & spindles. brakes are all drum
car does not have rego but can be registered in eitherany state if need be.
