Chris bug has the engine started & all sounds great !! he installs the new parachute , new window net and his bug sits in the workshop waiting for
the rain to stop .
When the rain stops , we can get his bug to the dyno for tuning

Well we took Chris Bolton' turbo drag bug to the dyno today at South Coast Rotary and set up the Holley carb & re-mapped the MSD ignition .
We were on the dyno for just over 5 hours and finished at 10pm tonight with outstanding results .....
385hp @ the wheels & just under 1500lbs tractive effort on 19psi boost . The engine sounds really strong and is now ready for the drags on
saturday 13th July .....

Awesome numbers gents! That's like a gain of 150hp?
Without doing a lot of calcs,
that should equate to at least a one second improvement!(1.5 sec if you can keep it straight!)

Had a mixed day today. First couple of runs stalled badly on the line. After getting it back to pits I discovered the staging brake had packed it in
and stayed locked at the line. So I tried to drive it without staging brake. Not with great success but still recorded a pb of 10.17@137. Made it to
the second round before being beaten. So now it is time to replace brake and make a few minor changes and chase a 9 sec pass. 9.99 is not to far
away.Lol ..going to the next test and tune day to have another play. Wayne did well in the dragster but I will let him tell you all about it

unfortunately Rob has lost a memory card . and yes you guessed it it has all the other dubs there on the day on it. will post more pics if he finds

We took my beetle out for a run at the test and tune today. As wayne explained in his test & tune post. After putting in a new staging brake. I
could not get used to the feel of the brake or car today and cant explain why. Oh well next time. Still managed a new pb of 10.014 @ 138.5mph
