what model split screen kombi is this???
hey all found this pic of what looks like a 50s split screen
kombi but what is the two extra windows in the front
roof???

Yes that is an early Split Window microbus or whatever they were called back then...
as the windscreen goes right to the roof line...
no air vents above the windscreen,,
I presume the front two windows were added , and I'm also assuming ALL the roof windows were added by someone other than VW...
I may be wrong, but I can't remember seeing any roof windows in Kombis until late 50's
it may have been built for a HOTEL etc...??
can't read the emblem on the nose..

Nice Pic where did you find it?
Thats a Barndoor or early T2. Up to 1953 1/2.
As Lee said the two front windows arent originals at least I have never seen them B4.
