Bettle ones fit on the front, if not the same then very close and if you've lowered or are going to they are good for the rears to, standard are way to big to lower.

Sure you can find info and will get help on here if you do lower but,,

Unless you remove the front stops or even the lugs they fit onto you can only mildly lower the front before you either bottom out or have no travel, I used a spare set of beetle stops on the front and cut them about in half so I have 1-1/2" of travel and still have bump stops.

The rear works sweet with the old front stops, or more beetle ones without modification and has loads of travel.

My car sits about 4" ground clear at the front beam & rear shock mounts and I wouldn't like much less without being real careful where and how I drive.

thanks for the info guys, any info on lowering greatly appreciated as i have the body off and would like to do this before putting back on if its possible.
haz77 any picks of your car, id like to see how it looks at that height, and for that matter any picks with the heights would be great.

So if im right I dropped the front by around 1", and the back to suit, different movements on each side to get it level and each car will be different anyway.

Before;

After;

Lower arm travel with cut down beetle rear bump stop, any lower and you would have 3 options, smaller tyres, no bump stop or cut off the bump stop arm!!, all but the first of which would not pass a road fitness test here in NZ.

Yeah, all stock other than the wheels & tyres,

may try and find bigger radius on the rears soon as gear ratios are to low with 65's also may go to smaller on the front to give a bit of nose down stance.

These alloys have a big offset and so much lower and the fronts would arch out way before the lock,

coincided up grading the shocks to gas but proved to expensive in Nz, haven't really looked at imports from Au or Us etc.

This is how it was on my first attempt, NO steering without arching and sitting hard on the bump stops!, about -2.5" down, didnt even look that low,,, :lol:

http://i889.photobucket.com/albums/ac94/mrspeccles/dak%20dak/DSCN5214.jpg

down two notches in front and cut down bump stops, i have travel and rides nice, 165s on front with a little rub but will get smaller tires soon

http://i889.photobucket.com/albums/ac94/mrspeccles/dak%20dak/DSCN5820.jpg

and ill be hitting the rear soon, here were i learnt how to do it

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AMxBolHOJR4

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OS2fgJkhcJk

hope that helps, its pretty simple and logic once you jack it up and remove the wheel and take a look, i was asking around for some help and was told to watch these videos and give it a go

type 3s are pretty easy to set up how you like

i like a rake nose down stance
