15 inch empi fuchs with drop spindles
have had a drama with the lower ball joint rubbing on the inside of rim when they are unweighted. Have put 2+1/2 drop spindles with 5.5 in dia 15
inch rims it is doing my head in!! Any ideas or will it be rectified when the body and bits go on. Would hate for this to happen at full noise going
over a hump!!

Had similar issues with drop spindles & porsche cookie cutters. the situation will "improve" when it has weight on it but clearance will be
minimal & will still make contact with the rim during suspension travel. I had to grind the trailing arm with a "flap wheel" to achieve enough
clearance.
You also need to make sure that the lower ball joint is in excellent condition, any play in the ball joint will not help matters at all.
This was after I asked if there where any issues like this (had heard there was on internet forums) prior to purchasing.
Hope that helps
Cheers
Brendan

all ball joints are new and test fitted the body and it is still too close to the rim for my liking. there is also not much "droop" when we jack
the beam off the ground. Looking at a beam with adjusters so this should fix the rim problem and give me a bit more suspension droop.
