ej25 Turbo
Hello all.
I have an ej25 from a 99-01 Outback in my T25.
I have the opertunity to purchase a turbo off a WRX.
I have been told that I can use the turbo,on my non turbo engine, with the ej25 ecu,as long as I run low boost(7-9psi),use an aftermarket fuel pump
and a bigger fuel pressure regulator.
Would I also need to change injectors?
What do you guys think about what I have been advised.Does this sound feesible or am I talking to the wrong Leb?(he is a really nice man, loves sic
turbos!)
Thankyou

Possibly no need to start a new post but use the search function above
The ej25 n/a is no differed that what Rob has done on his ej22 bus bits of bits down the page.
I can tell you I have removed the pistons, put them in the lathe rings ect still on and machined the piston face down to reduce the compression ratio
, it work still running 3 years on
The ej25 out back motors were bad on head gaskets normaly n/a ones fail , $200.00 get you quad cam 1.6 mm head gaskets

Seagull,so I guess what you are saying is it is possible.
What I am after is confirmation that I can use the non turbo ecu and injectors.
Thankyou for the instruction on the search function.

what, the na ej25 not got enough power for you? must have still been a decent step up from the old wbx?
spose you're getting the turbo cheap - otherwise you'd consider swaping for an ej20t, ez30, or even still, a factory ej25t?
sorry, can't help with your question.

The ej25 is great and is heaps better than the WBX.Thinking the turbo would be better in my engine bay, than in a box in a mates garage.

Just do it...once you have had some boost life without it is just
dreary. good idea about the fuel pressure regulator i have yet to try a rising rate regulator but can see the benefit...you run out of fuel quick

Hi Ben...yes standard injectors and ecu...i have bosch fuel pump from one of the holdens and it all works great up til half throttle...from then on it
needs more fuel but just havn't got around to that yet.
but just as it is or was with the TD04 on the EJ22 you couldn't ask for more in a kombi at highway speeds...so much fun
