notice you have the preheats blocked off...... do you think they are not really needed for our climate ?????
i only ask as my preheats from the muffler have a few rust holes in them and i wondered how to repair them or even if i should just block them off as
you have....

Yes there blocked as i am running a Jack Braham Lukey extractor system 36hp type which doesn't have heat risers of the tube
The 40hp system has them fitted
They certainly make your engine warm faster when fitted and working correctly, but finding an inlet manifold with out a blocked pre heat pipe is very
hard
Also i have the Judson Super charger fitted which will make it warm up faster
Probably if i was in the snowy area might have them fitted

Well after 3 weeks in hospital
Some progress with the help of Wayne F we fitted the Jack Braham Lukey Exhaust and the heater tubes back onto car

set the timing and it fired up after 20 years had to adjust the idle air correction mixture just ticks over smooth

Well enjoyable test drive motor ran well plenty of power with the Judson
bedded the brakes and adjusted up again stopping in a straight line
Left hand tail light need a better earth to make it work Beep beep works amazing it must be over 20 years since i have driven it
