Top 60-67? Shaft, see below

Third. Ex ’58 shaft and tube. Not shown but included is the clamp bit to bolt the tube to the body. The steering wheel nut it chewed as a previous owner has used a hammer and chisel to undo it… SOLD

Top. Ex 56 front bar, obviously needs work, the chrome has plenty of bubbles under where the numberplate bolts on plus various other pits and scratches on the front face. The back has rust and is starting to pit. Both the over riders have some rust, one has had a good wack and the other has 2? dings. The RHS bumper iron is straight but has a fully sik custom spotlight mount bracket welded on, the LHS is bent. missing one of the plates that goes between the bracket and bar. Includes one uber rare round headed “DORN” overrider bolt (sorry in poor condition). These were an experiment by vw and were only included in one shipment of CKD kits destined for Australia. They were introduced part way through May ’56 but taken off the production line after 6-8 days due to the excessive tool wear they caused during assembly. Most were replaced during a “silent” recall at services in the first 10-20k miles. They are so rare they don’t even show up in the progressive refinements. Sorry I’m not using my NOS Matra VW tool to remove it, but I believe you can get a similar tool in an imperial size from snap on. you will need to make up a shim to get it to work on the metric Dorn bolt. $70

Bottom. Factory VW stamped stainless steel standard style front blade. Again needs straightening but it will never rust or need rechroming (plus it’s lighter than the normal one and will survive on the saltlakes). The RHS bracket is bent but the LHS is good. missing two of the bits that go between the bracket and the bar. has 3 small holes that would need to be welded when restoring. I only just picked this up and I’m not really sure if I want to sell it, make me an offer and if I like it, it’s yours.

Visor. Ex ’58. It has had a hole drilled in the centre brace to mount an ariel (not by me). Has some small dings and scrapes. Is missing one acorn nut but I think I know where it is. The mesh was once anodised blue, unfortunately it has worn off. $80 SOLD

i'll get some pics and work out a price if they are of interest to you.

40hp type 24 judson supercharger, incomplete. includes housing/rotor top pulley etc, marvel oiler and glass jar (the version they don't reproduce), belt tensioner and a homemade bottom pulley. housing re-honed and good to go but the rotor is heavily worn and needs replacing... $675 for new rotor and vanes from riccardo shipping not included or talk sweetly to your tame machinist and replace only the Al part :).

$1100 SOLD $ 800

early big window seats (pre nut frames)

pm first please as they are advertised elsewhere.

henry
0432 107 770

retrimed with no piping, vinyl still nice and soft. covers a little loose, desperately need a clean. they should clean up nicely, the patch in the pic = about 3 minutes work.

damage in the top pass side back cnr of the rear seat backrest.

i only had a quick look but couldn't see any broken springs.

located in wahroonga (near hornsby) sydney.

pick up only.

$250 if before wed midday SOLD
or

click on the pics to see the larger versions

http://s1.postimage.org/2skbvi64k/seats4.jpg

http://s1.postimage.org/2skihnk3o/seats5.jpg

edit. i have some red brown high back front seats as well. these suit earlier style runners not the L bug style
the drivers side has a 7 by 10cm ish hole on the right sholder of the backrest and the vinyl is devoloping small cracks on the seat. the pass side has a 6mm round hole on the back of the headrest but is otherwise nice.
very dusty so need a good clean.
i'll take pics if anyone is interested. offers
