ej25 cam angle sensor fault
recently on a couple of occasions my ej25 powered transporter basically stopped whilst idleing.....and once struggled to fire on start up......it
ticked over fine but just didnt do anything ....
i had one fault code out of all these events which was cam angle sensor.
having had a spare one i replaced it and havent had any issues since.
This sensor may also be the victim of a bit of oil as its located under the oil filler neck on the motor which may have something to do with the
intermittant problem....
it appears to look very similar to a crank angle sensor except for a sleeve over the outside of the sensor i wonder if they are
interchangeable.....they are doing a similar job

You're right, it's usually leaking oil that gets them but the other thing is when crap sticks to the sensing surface.
one of mine did that.
They are the same sensors crank and cam, but the plugs are different and cable length so they can't be mixed up.
