PROJECT NEVILLE (notch) have questions

need to have a section where i can ask notch questions.

would ask that you notch fans keep an eye out so that i can get as much info as i can. this is my first.

neville is a '72.

1st question is does anyone recognise the rims on him. they are 15 in allows. and if you look close at the pattern it would seem its got the german cross in it... any ideas?

Dear Enlightened twoguns

Welcome to the Notchback brigade, great to see the enthusiasm!!
I myself was introduced to a '72 Notch and it soon became my first car.

I admit I have neglected it over the past few years. But it never forgot the times we had together, and when i came to liberate it from Dad's front lawn, it, JUST LIKE NEVILLE STARTED FIRST GO!!!

I believe they are a true evolution of the vw and are beautiful in their own right!

I'm looking forward to seeing more of neville, and will track his progess religiously

Rock on!

LOWERING & SPARES

hey twoguns!
welcome to the type 3 world.
skewy still has the method of lowering. he has had trouble sending it. when he does if he doesn't send it to you i will. tazz gave me a 2 minute lesson at valla on lowering the front and it seems easy as.
as for spares i have 2 70's type 3's out the back and i'm always on the lookout for more spares or complete cars for parts. when you need something just ask someone will ahve it or know where to get it.
hope i was of some help.
cheers, kid :thumb

Not many Ronals getting around, they should look great when cleaned up, really go well with that colour, apparently they’re very light too.

its not the actual cover, but more the accesories such as the lock nuts. hanging clip and insulation that i am after. mine is good except bare.

oh and i do need front door trims.

have been slack with the camera. neville is all back together and shined up a treat. will get pics. he runs turns and stops. next will be the tidy up of dints. etc.... after 'saint' aka WHTEMAN lowers the old boy an inch or two, while im away.
