KG Door Hinges

I am in need of a set of hinges for the drivers side as mine are knackered.

I have heard of people getting the originals rebuilt (don't know where) or I can get repro ones from the States for $40 each.

Any thoughts or info would be great.

I got some from Volksbahn ( Pendle Hill ) a few years ago, cant remember how much they were though,
you could also try Vintage VW at campsie or
Classic VW at Rydelmere, if george answers the phone,
or go with your first option,
Also, the karmann ghia co. in western australia has most things

$40 for repro sounds o.k. would cost that much to get a local engineer shop to machine a new set of pins.
