At first glance it looks to pretty good. The convertible parts are mostly there.

So now I am on the hunt for some parts. The hood is incorrect, about a 64 3 tab, so I'm up for a 4 tab bonet, 4 guards, a rear H apron and some messing around with the 4 finger front apron. Does anyone know if the correct rear apron is available as a repair panel or will I have to hunt for one from a donor? I'll need to track down a dash to do a RHD conversion as well. Lucky we don't set time frames for projects like this....

Any help or tips much appreciated.

Thanks

Hey nice find Scott! These forums are pretty good for parts, post up a WTB section in car parts and hopefully you'll find what you seek!

GL mate!

Thanks Ollie,

I did just that and got a call today from a guy with a 58 shell. May have some useable parts, all he wanted was that he could cut the semiphores out. Hope to have some pics to see if it will do the trick.

Got the doors off today after sneaking away from the house reno work...

Is this the one that George at Classicveedub had for sale? It was a pretty fair price and had all the bits with it when I saw it. Have you got the swivel rear mirror for it?

I have a 61 and 54 RHD verts and they are both great fun!

Cheers

Steve

Sure is. He sold his 64 cab as well. A fair price and he included new pan halves and support rails. He's a really nice guy as well!

He gave me a look at his fully restored 62 vert. Something to aspire to.

Ah I was wondering whether that was the one! Last I saw of it, it was perched upon a shipping container! Can't wait to see how it ends up
