Fuel tank welding perosity. any sealer suggestions?
I have two larger fuel line 'outlet' and 'inlets' welded to my fuel tank for future use. However there is a VERY small leak at the weld.
So small, that it takes 24 hrs for a wet patch to appear, and dries up before it even drips or makes a puddle. However in the process, it does make
the garage smell like fuel and the area has a wet dampness look to it.
Is there a brush on seal coat that is fuel resistant i can just lather on to do a final seal for what i assume is just perosity in the weld?
any suggestions?

I think POR15 may make a fuel tank sealer??? or maybe just a fuel tank coating for inside the tank...
its best to braze on fittings onto fuel tanks....
that was normal practice years ago...
hardest part with leaks like that ... they have to be perfectly clean before You can seal them...
You may have to cut it off..???
or fill the tank with water and reweld it..?????

Chris , there are a few different 2 pac putty's that are available and work well , i had a rust hole in one of my old tanks and repaired it in
minutes and that was in the bottom and it has not leaked since .
Sorry can't remember the brand but was just purchased at Repco or Autobarn

Try 3145 silastic - the grey stuff - works like fuel tank sealant, and is very good. But use rubber gloves, cause it sticks like the proverbial.
