Replacing Transmission Selector Shaft Bushing and Seal

Hi there, I'm about to replace the seal and bushing in the nose cone of my autostick. This is a brass bushing and blue pastic seal around the selector shaft. I can't seem to get the bushing out and don't want to go for the destroy approach just yet. Has anyone had any trouble with these?

Heres an example of the part I'm trying to remove and replace:

Its the cup looking thing and the seal in the middle goes inside it.

I think it's the same in the autostick as the manual.

Any help greatly appreciated.

cheers Pete.

Hi Pete

I just grabbed the bush with vycegrips and twisted and pulled at the same time..
if the bush isn't worn You could just replace the seal...

although seeing You now have a new bush & seal...

best of luck Pete
