As the title states I'm currently chasing a set of standard 15's in wide five, any help would be appreciated getting desperate now.
with or without tyres
willing to travel 200 km's each way of cbd

You could try the Formula Vee crowd. The 1200 Vees need to change to 'safety bead' wheels, so there should be some stock wheels around.
I'd rather wear a Beetle out by racing it than by polishing it!

there sure is vee wheels around, try out a WTB add on http://www.historicveeaustralia.com/
I just picked up some 4in slotted wide 5 wheels, your only problem with the vee wheels is that if you want hubcaps you need to re-attach the clips as
the vees have to remove them.
