Monster Garage Drag Beetle (10 sec)
Some may have seen this show, coming up on PayTv next Tuesday (6/9/11) night late then repeated on Wednesday (7/9/11) morning. Channel Turbo max #634
repeated two hours later on #635. They always repeat these shows a few times so if you miss it you usually can catch it later in the week.
Sour Kraut, custom bike builder Jessie James and a crew of VW nuts create a 1951 drag beetle, 10 second quarters first time it ran! Not for everyone
one tough car with rat look rust patina!
This show is quite old now, wonder if anyone knows what happened to the car, they wanted it to run in the 9s so did it ever run a sub 10?

The show is seriously old. I actually saw that episode about a month ago on 7mate midday re-runs. It looked okay but the build didn't seem to be much
of a challenge, they just replaced almost everything with brand-new bolt-on parts which would've cost a fortune. So much for the original Monster
Garage's theoretical 'budget' of $5000. Even from the start they used to cheat, but this car was just silly. There would've been more than $5000
just in the motor, let alone the rest of the car.

Yep total cost $21,300usd, about $12,00 worth on engine alone, she's a beast though, low 10's and love the fake rust
paint job.
