[FS - WA] 1973 kombi Exmouth SOLD payment pending

Regretfully we must sell our kombi as we will soon be moving overseas. I have owned her for almost 10 years and we have been through a lot but it is time to move on. She is in great condition and is driven every day and has not let me down.

The 1800 twin carb engine was completely rebuilt about 1.5 / 25,000km's ago. Clutch and exhaust were put in new and the carbs were rebuilt too.

All of the rust was cut out by Gary at Good Ol' Daze and new panels put in, including the nose, sills, around all of the windows, and the dog-legs. This was only about a year ago.

I painted it my self, rolled on yacht paint "Norglass" as per the 50 dollar paint job. You can see some of the work here: http://forums.kombiclub.com/showthread.php?t=24354
It turned out really well and no rust has returned except as follows:
-cracks have appeared where the sections meet and there is a tiny bit of rust started in them.
-there are a couple of small stone chips after our drive half way around oz, easily fixed
-there is one paint chip on the roof about the size of a 10 cent coin from a branch

We got heaps of new stuff for the old girl too
-headlights and tail lights
-all genuine seals
-sliding windows
-roof racks
-electronic ignition (Pertronix)
-glovebox and lid
-hubcaps
-lots of spares incl. Clutch and accelerator cables, fanbelt etc

As previously eluded to we have been traveling around. We drove from the Gold Coast to Exmouth WA where the car and us currently are. On the way we got the old girl checked out at Wolfsburg and another shop in Fremantle just in case and all was good. Along the way we serviced every 3000 - 5000 km's and she is going great.

She is all set up for camping, with a full width rock n roll bed, under bed storage and drawer, cupboard for foodstuffs, water drum etc and hanging pockets on the back of the passenger seat.

The car is registered in WA and has 6 months left.

We are asking for $9000, and can ship down to Perth if we need to (we can work that one out)
