1970 BEETLE WINDSCREENS AVAILABLE NEW?

Hey people..Ive done a search regarding the availablity of new replacement winscreens. Are these available new from just the average windscreen replacement company or am I looking to get my current window polished and restored?.Im about to replace window seals soon so any info would be helpful..thanks in advance!

No worries..thanks..Its something that I haven't bother to chase up for years. The wifes car has been in storage for 7 years. Last time I asked a windscreen replacement company the salesman wasn't that helpful..perhaps he was the exception and not the rule. Atleast thats some good news..one less headache to deal with during this current part-resto!.

Hmm, I wonder, anyone seen any new L bug windscreens?
They're the curved ones, may be a little more difficult to source?

Sorry to hijack the thread snitz!

Hi
if its an original windscreen it will be safety glass that shatters on impact with a head etc...

I bought Mine in 2005 from Koala Glass...

they may only have them listed as one model...

1968 model which fits all beetles up to including the 1976 model
[excluding the L 1303 Beetle]

so they may say they don't have a 1970 model windscreen...
but may have a 71-72 superbug windscreen
which is the same...

Also they are NOT flat glass so cannot be cut out.. lol

If any problems I'm sure some of the VW shops would have them... like VVDS ..
