WTB-(QLD) Early Beetle Parts

Hey peeps, I'm chasing a couple things for my 62 beetle.

*Glovebox door with complete with lock and hinges
*Fuel tank with Sender, and fuel gauge with dash panel. (my bug has no gauge just the reserve tap setup)
*VW logo badge off the bonnet
*Front Visor - either mesh or solid. Not Fussed
*1600TP Intake Manifolds
*1600TP Engine Tinware

I'm located on the Gold Coast but will travel, or cover postage costs.
Contact me via PM or text 0413 716 710.

Cheers
Dave

What year model?

I have a late 50's early 60's glove box lid, the hinges are attached to the body so I cannot help with the hinges $10

I have 1 front seat for an early 60's $50

I am on the bayside of Bribane so an hour north of the Gold Coast.

Cheers,

David

Did the earlier beetles not have a glovebox door then? Mine doesn't have a striker or anything where the door should be?
Its a 1962 I believe. Possibly 64

Suggest you may be the proud owner of a standard model.

They did not have a glovebox lid, wipers did not self cancel, primer hub caps and bumpers and no body trim.

Does that sound right? various things may have been changed over the years!

Put up a pic.

Cheers,

David

I was also thinking it may be a 60-61 model with the fuel tap. My mid 61 had a fuel gauge and no tap, but the hole for the fuel tap was still there. My fuel gauge is dated 6/61 so this is why I am thinking yours may be earlier. Or as Calcool said it sounds like a 'standard' model and they still may not have had fuel gauges also.

I'm sure someone (Phil) will clarify this either way.

Sounds like a standard to me. Glove box lid was not supplied.

Yeah it's definately a standard. Doesn't have full roof lining either.
It does have chrome side moulding, and self canceling wipers, but its had a 12V conversion anyway
I just put pics up in members rides.
The sales receipt and VIN suggest its a 64 though.

Might be your lucky day.

I have only one of the correct front seats for your car in perfect condition, you will just need a base frame for it.

$50

Cheers,

David

My seat bases have been welded to my highback seats. :(
And even though I will be trimming them eventually, I'd prefer a close matching pair for now. Thanks anyway.

Hi,

I have an early and very rare green translucent front visor in as new condition, currently fitted to my oval that will be parting out with other early rare accessories shortly. Also have a translucent driver side wind guard mounted on the driver's door frame (this part with patina), amongst other things.

Happy to post pictures if you wish.

Cheers
