Pros and Cons of New Beetle
Hey Waterpumpers,
My Dad is looking at buying my Mum a New Beetle (preferably with sunroof), either a second hand model or a run out sale model due to the 2012 Beetle
being released.
Would really appreciate some advice on what he should look for, problems with certain years/models, and pros and cons that you can think of.

Make sure she is happy with the driving position and the boot access. Can take getting use to.
Consider a diesel if they don't mind a manual
Scan car sales on the net - there are some real bargains out there for the price of shipping.
I saved $7k on my wifes shipping it down from Brisbane

We have had no real issues with ours and it has done 204,000 kms now. I believe the first series had some electrical issues with the windows. Just
make sure the cam belts have been replaced when they should have been and that the water pump is OK. Other than that, I can't add anymore other than
love driving ours.
