Kombi Fire in Mascot on Wednesday Evening
What a waste of a Kombi. According to news reports in the Daily Telegraph, it took the Fire Brigade half an hour to put the fire out.
Amazing how well magnesium burns once it starts.
That's one less air-cooled VW on the road. Not a good way to go.

Sadly most VW fires could be prevented easily.
I feel safe knowing I have correct size fuel line less than 3 years old, and no fuel filter in the engine bay, no fuel barbs that are able to come
loose, and correct battery under the back seat in the Beetle.
