Exhaust header question

I am making my own exhaust for my type 4 conversion into an Oval and need to know.
What is the required length of the pipes from the heads to the colector if you are attempting to make a tuned length exhaust,
My thoughts on pipe size is 1 5/8" out of the heads convert straight away to 1 3/4" pipes to the first collector, two in at 1 3/4 then 1 out at 2" then from the collector 2"pipe going to the second collector were it would be 2 in at 2" and 1 out at 2 1/2" then off to a box and tail pipe.
Any tech assistance on this would be appreciated
Cheers
