Quaifes are cheap in New Zealand
Hi
Out of interest I enquired about the price of a Quaife diff for a IRS Beetle with the larger Kombi style out put shafts from the Quaife agents in New
Zealand. I was surprised to find out that it would be only $1252 Au delivered to my door.
Just need to get some Albins gears and get the spare box overhauled, this is for my sons 1303.

Getting serious Steve.
Full circle.
Air cooled this time though?
Really like the engine combo you have for David's car.

Hi Dave
I'm slowly collecting bits for a 2442 Oxy boxer for it.
Rod bought me back a crank that the guy at Ranchos was selling last year, its a DPR, its been 5 dowelled and wedge mated, comes with a 200 mm flywheel
and I bought a case that has already been prepped from Rod as well.
The 1904 in David's bug now is such a sweet motor, love the GB309
It really likes to spin the inside wheel now, the Quaife should fix that
I still have my STI powered bug with a G50 but I'm having some issues with that car that I hope I will overcome soon.

Hi
I was lucky, it came in as vintage car parts, no tax.
I can also get one for my G50 for $1700 including freight

I'll have to hit him up for one of their Golf MK1 quick ratio racks and see what the damage is. I ran out of time to order one when i was in
england.
Thanks Steve

$1250 for a genuine Quaife?
We have been having good luck with the Chinese copy Quaifes for Subies - only $500.
Not had one go wrong....yet.....at such a low price it almost makes it standard fitment.
