Franke

You may have trouble putting pop outs in your 71 Square. I tried years ago with my 73 and that car did not have the parts spot welded into the B pillar for the pop out hinge. Maybe VW made the change in 71 when the vents got put in the rear pillar??? I don't know.

You can put the pop out in but it may require getting the parts for the hinge and welding them into your car.

I had painted my car and thought I had all the parts for the pop outs with new rubbers fitted. When I went to bolt them in I discovered I could not:mad:

Something to check before you start.

Am keen to track down parts for the popouts for my Fastie. Need the pivot hinge clips which fit halfway down the rubbers which allow the glass to flex. Any ideas?

You will be missing some plates for the popout hinge and nothing to screw the popout latch into the body.
