Its council clean up time at Canada Bay!

Round and round the offcasts go.

A mate came round and gave me a set of coasters he found.

I put out an old De Rosa bike with Cinelli running gear.
I will never get to fix it and this young bloke is going to fix it up.
He was jumping with his find.
I had hardly walked back before he was on to it.

Hi

Our council has gone to prearranged pick ups, takes all the fun out of it.

bugger - thats no fun

Does nothing for the recycling world either.
Can only assume it all goes straight to the dump

I reckon the council picks up about 10% of the stuff that is put out round here.
The recyclers are out and prowling as I type :tu:

Now that really is RE-CYCLING, isn't it!

WE had our only pick up this year last week...

and it all went into a crushing type of garbage truck

so... everything was crushed...????

so, nothing was sorted.. as before....
nothing recycled....

Best Tip in the country is Muswellbrook....
everything is sorted and rubbish goes into a disused Mine shaft

No flies... No rubbish... clean as...

all the good bits go into a locked up yard to be sold ??

LEE

When I was a kid I loved rubbish dumps.. lol
all the stuff You would see.. I can't remember the flies being so bad then... every car that leaves Scone Tip is full of flies...
lol

friendly Country flies...

My wife comes from far western NSW. The rubbish dump in the fly speck town she came from was called 'Grace Bros.' because you could find everything you wanted there. I helped my mother in law take stuff to the tip once when we were out there, and she set fire to it because that was the only way you'd stop people going through it. All was going fine till we discovered some bullets had accidently been put in the load, and they started exploding in the fire, so we sat behind her car till they all stopped.
