Brake System

HI I am new to Aussie Vee Dubbers. I have just purchased a 1971 superbug and I was wanting to up date the brake system. I have looked around but there is just WAY too much information and I am getting a bit confused as to which way to go. I have mechanical and engineering knowledge and experience. Thanks for your help!!

Hi

Do you want to make the car stop better? The stock brakes are pretty good when in good condition.

Easy upgrade is early Type 3 front callipers, you can pick these out from Beetle ones as they have a a single bleed screw and Type 3 rear drums on the back.

Thanks very much Steve. Yeah I wanted to make the car stop better. I need to change the brakes for a roadworthy any way so I thought I might as well up grade them straight away.
