Brake System
HI I am new to Aussie Vee Dubbers. I have just purchased a 1971 superbug and I was wanting to up date the brake system. I have looked around but there
is just WAY too much information and I am getting a bit confused as to which way to go. I have mechanical and engineering knowledge and experience.
Thanks for your help!! |

Hi
Do you want to make the car stop better? The stock brakes are pretty good when in good condition.
Easy upgrade is early Type 3 front callipers, you can pick these out from Beetle ones as they have a a single bleed screw and Type 3 rear drums on the
back.

Thanks very much Steve. Yeah I wanted to make the car stop better. I need to change the brakes for a roadworthy any way so I thought I might as well
up grade them straight away.
