Steering Rod Arm (short one)

G'day Guys and Gals

Can anyone tell me if the joints at the end of the short steering rod arm are screwed in or are crimped/pressed on a 58' beetle.

Reason I ask is I managed to easily unscrew them on the long arm but the short ones won't seem to budge (don't want to push to hard in case I break it), there appears to be some flat grooves as though this item maybe crimped. Seem to be completely differen to the long arms etc

Does this make sense???

Cheers

Brad

Both sides on a 58 should be screwed tie rod ends.

Sounds like someone has fitted the later 60s tie rod arms.

The screwed type are easier to adjust the wheel alignment
