63 kombi dash original radio diamentions
Hi, I have a 63 kombi. When I bought it it was missing the radio blanking plate from the dash radio slot. When I purchased a blank off plate I
noticed that it didn't fit. I then worked out that it had been cut to suit a late model stereo. I now have filled in the hole. Could anyone out there
give me the dimensions for the rectangle slot and the hole diameter and spacing for the knobs. Thanks

Hi
Yes, late model cars use the DIN standard for stereos radio CDs etc..
which is slightly larger.. but the early beetle and kombis had the rectangular hole plus the two knob holes...
someone may be able to measure it for You
