my fave idiot story

IDIOT SIGHTING:

When my husband and I arrived at a car dealership to pick up our car after a service, we were told the keys had been locked in it.
We went to the service department and found a mechanic working feverishly to unlock the driver’s side door.
As I watched from the passenger side, I instinctively tried the door handle and discovered that it was unlocked.
‘Hey,' I announced to the technician, 'its open!'
His reply, 'I know. I already did that side.'

Thats good.

As a mechanic and Service Manager I see some very strange things from people.
Like a old bloke had put a piece of carpet over his Daewoo 3 cylinder engine for sound deadening, it caught fire. nearly burnt his car down.
Backpackers that run out of room in their boot and pack luggage like sleeping bags around the engine........
XD Falcon owned by islander's, had 3 slabs of concrete in the boot so it drove nose up.
An older lady complained that after her service that 1 of her hub caps was upside down. It didnt matter how I explained about how wheels turn at different speeds when going round corners etc. I was in the wrong
Bloke with a 2008 GT Falcon wanted us to fix a rattle he had in his dash once the vehicle reached a speed of 200km/h........
And the many young drivers of XR8 and XR6 turbo's with blown clutch's and diff's who thought that if they get their mum or grandparents to bring the car in we wouldn't find out they were doing burnouts and get warranty. Its just a shame that all that effort they went to, they forgot to clean the melted rubber out of their gaurds and replace the bald tyre's.
Plus many many many more..........
