Any colour at all is best for it. It is your decision.
Have a look at pics of kombies on this forum, and when you see one that appeals to you, that will be a good start.

If a coulour makes you :puke
then steer away from it.
You have already mentioned silver is out, go with your heart. If it is royal blue, go for it.
In my opinion that is a nice colour. Although if you have a white roof it will look like a Navy Bus. :D

Maybe if you enjoy a drink, have a few :beer 's to enrich your mind!

its your choice completely, but i find that (with the exception of matt black) most darker colours do not work too well, probably because of the size of the vehicle. i am planning to use a colour similar to the orange on vw54's bug when i paint my bus.

are you doing it yourself or getting it done professionally. you are limited if you do it yourself but it doesn't hurt the wallet as much. blue would be good, i'd say a semi dark metallic, but that's me. what about two tone??
you could always do racing stripes down the centre :D

Im looking for the light bluey colour with a bit of grey in it. One of those '60 colours. Just having a few hassles finding the right colour. A good paint shop will have the colour charts and be able to match anything.

So will taubmans:D

I'm gonna paint mine with an outback landscape and an eclipsed sun just above the horizon, because my first trip in the kombi was to see the eclipse in the SA desert.

I think you should paint yours with something personal to you too.

if you are going 2 tone i think the darker colour should be at the bottom.

Just remember, a dark colour can look great if the body is top notch and really straight, but if the body is average to OK a dark colour will show every little ripple. Something to think about.:thumb

I bet there was Purple. Phil gotta lift from a few ppl he had never met, who had just bought a kombi to go all the way out there for the Doof. Phil speaks in reverent tones about the whole thing but I reckon thats just 'cause he fried another few million cells;)

Would love to have gone but dont tend to do the bush doofs anymore. Well maybe a dragonflight:D
