Good to hear guys. Flamin tiki and 2 Cranky are planing on playing that weekend too. Looks like we have tempted one melbourne car to take the trip as
well.
Wayne the nostalgia format usually doesn't allow for efi. Does that mean retro day will allow efi. If so might be good for a few more cars that might
not have previously been allowed.

I have spoken to Officials at WSID and efi cars will be permitted to run at this event , as long as the car is prior to 1978 . Their aim is to have a
retro drag race meet with cars prior to 1978 and motorcycles prior to 1985 that are air-cooled only .
I am trying to get my father Allan to bring out his 1929 Ariel 500 motorcycle . He rode it all the way to Adelaide last year on his 70th birthday ,
and I would love to see the look on the faces of his vintage motorcycle club mates if he went drag racing on it .... Wayne

Camel Filter Bug to Attend .
The thrash is on to get the Camel to this event and the Rocket Open day on the Saturday.
Peter Keegan is receiving a Pioneer Award over the weekend so we thought it would be
nice to have the car there . It won't be finished but will be looking good.
Pete Page and I will be bringing it down.

that is awesome news guys and great to see such a massive effort being put into getting the camel bug there .
I'm sure Peter will be thrilled , and he deserves the honour of receiving this award because without guys like him doing what they done and acheived
back in the early days of drag racing in Australia , we might not be having as much fun as we do right now ...........

I'm in,3 Vw's in gas gonna be fun!with the pits at wsid is it all hard stand?Any special reqirements for shade tent hold downs?

Some 20 litre buckets filled with water will be perfect Col. We usually use our fuel churns.
There is also the grassed areas but they are down the back.
I hope the track have pitted us all together

I'm going for a look, probably wont bring my beach buggy though- really not sorted enough for racing yet... there is a pit lane show and shine, but
the car's al ittle rough, and powered by a subi turbo motor- dont think it's too appropriate?

roses first run with new combo shifting @ 5000rpm 13.853
ben ford doing 11.01s and when we left he just made it to another round by beating a big arse falcon.
col made it to the next round.
and waynes son dean was it the 13s and got to next round.
Chris bolton first and only run as he was a bit to fast 10.58
