48ida mods

hi, my 48s have supposedly been modified by aircooled in usa. 3rd progression hole added, larger float bowls etc. i noticed each carb has only 1 mixture screw , the other has been blocked. can anyone tell me about this. thanks greg ps the adjustable one is the one easiest to get to.... that is closer to the back of the car on both carbs

Definately can't be only one mixture screw per carb. Just doesn't work. Maybe he has changed two screws to a type that is shorter for clearance issues????
3rd progression hole and enlarged fuel bowl have no effect on mixture adjustments.
You need all mixture adjustment screws.

IDA mixture screws seem to be in short supply when I last looked, I have some fair condition spares, but certainly recommend new.
