See Video - Why popping through exhaust

Hi all,

just after some experienced VW guys thoughts on why you think this may be occurring. The popping sound is a lot louder than what it appears in this video.

It also does it whilst cruising along at any particular speed, not just when backing off.

Thanks Kev

I thought rebuilding a VW would be cheap - Shit I was wrong, just don't let the wife know !!!!

Maybe a bit of crap in one of the idle jets in one of the carbies?..dunno maybe grab a spray bottle and spray some water around the base of the carbies and where the manifolds meet the heads see if the idle changes and like the above post mentioned it could reveal and air leak..

Hope you sort it out..must be frustrating to hear..it would drive me INSANE..lol:crazy::crazy::crazy:
