VW season??

Is it just me or is there a definate pattern to people buying and selling VWs in Qld. I have heard from a rather well known VWer that there is a VW silly season. Unfortunately for me it appears this is NOT the time to be looking at buying :)

Anyone else found this or is it a Aussieveedubbers phenomenum only :)
And what is the silly season.
