hello
anybody got the internal parts for a type 1 fuel guage
that goes in the speedo?
yes i know you can get a new speedo
but want to keep the original

I've got a complete speedo with fuel gauge if it's any good to you, in top nick but you could remove the bits you want if you want to retain your speedo. give us a pic of the one you have.

all right its a 72 but not a super bug as it has no elephants feet
it is the coil on the dial that is stuffed and the wireing is ok
The speedo has the indicator lights either side and not at the bottom if this helps.
many thanks for all the reply's if anybody has one let me know or if not I will ask for the speedo to suit......again the world is a better place for helpers.

Those were an aussie only speedo for a few months in 72 but
The fuel gauge was slightly different in them but im pretty sure you can fit the earlier and later ones in them.

Most of them have been replaced as the numbers were printed on the perspex rather than the speedo face and they fade pretty bad on a non garaged car
