Transferring NSW rego to Qld

I may have a buyer from Qld for my Porsche kitcar but need to know what is involved in changing the rego. It is registered as a VW Beetle modified as per Engineers report. The Engineer is no longer trading so will it need a new report to be done in Qld ?

Hi MR930,

I am actually going through this right now. My 69 beetle was a Sydney Softop roadster convertable that had DMT approval. It has been like this since the very early 80"s with report number 47023 on its rego ever since.
QLD won’t recognise any other states engineering. I have to get it all re-done. NSW transport refuses to release the report so the engineer that I am using went to the freedom of information act to force them to be civil.

Keep you posted.

Can you post some pics of your car?
