WTB late 70's beetle front passenger seat SA

I need a late 70's beetle front passenger seat, any condition
I believe they are 77/78, the ones with the separate head rests
In south Australia
Please help, I have one but the base is pretty twisted
I need it to finish my project beetle
It will be re trimmed so any condition would be great, as long as it is straight!!!
Cheers
Matthew

How many seat rails does it have, two or three? I have a two-rail S-Bug seat which I could sell you, but I think it's a fair bit earlier than what you want.

Rails don't really matter, I'm gonna graft an early beetle two rail onto it
To be honest, I don't even know how many rails the late 70's seats have standard
I just need the a straight frame, but it's gotta be the seats with the removable headrests
Cheers

Just to clarify
Its the type that don't have springs in the base, just a bum shaped tray with lots of holes in it with a thick foam pad ontop.
I just need the base for the front passenger, foam pad is not needed
Any condition would be awesome, as long as it's not twisted like mine!!

Try calling Paul Kennedy at Volksfactory in Holden Hill. He's pretty much the only shop in SA which is still dismantling air-cooled VWs, so it's possible that he may have had an L-Bug or two in recently. Otherwise, it may be worth trying your luck at U-Pull-It. I've picked up some good VW parts before at the old Lonsdale yard, but that got shut down by the desalination plant project, so you would need to try the Elizabeth one. Best to ring them first to check if they have any Beetles.
