hi torque starter for 2L kombi


anyone know the best place (cheapest) for one of those reduction-gear Hi-torque starters for a 2Litre kombi?

Mine is playing silly buggas & i`m over it, i just want a new one that works good & i figure i`ll reco this one & just keep it as a spare

?

Ah, there was a 2nd hand one on the manx buggy forum $200 but i missed it

really need one like right now, trying to get a few dump runs in before it storms again/still :-( & the kombi is now stuck in my driveway... the damn thing has stopped right at my time of need :-(

i might just bite the bullet & order one from Castle like Helbus suggests & have it send by express carrier pidgeon, maybe get here monday or tues :-(

i was just hoping that some one may have found a hilux one or what-ever-one fitted & there was hundreds of them for cheap at my local wrecking yard for $3 each :-)

obviously not :-(

I would highly recommend getting a Cranky kit.

Bolts straight in and I've never had any dramas with mine at all.

Yeah, go the cranky kit
and then you can use a sube starter,
easy to get at any jap wreckers, and quality Japanese electrics.
