Horray!! ...found a rear seat in top shape for the build, I'm excited :dork:

Today was fitting all the body deadener (gotta get it in some tight areas on the doors, took ages) in all about 8 lineal mtrs was added. Finished the crew door lower sill and welded it in, I had to fabricate one at work but forgot to take photos of the bending and folding to form the profiles..:fakesniff:
Finished spraying the top half of the doors white and maybe Tues will be painting the lower halves. Al kicked me a early side window glass to use as a template to see if the crew windows are the same size, very , very close so I ordered the fixed window rubbers and will reweld the rubbers to suit. If it looks suss I'll try those popout kits Al has.I like the look of fixed windows in the cewcab so hope it works.

No photos cause it was all pretty boring work today......

wired for sound

started on the wiring loom today.......good grief man. Looks daunting when it comes out of the box but the E Z wiring kit seems pretty damn good. Once you get it all unrolled and work one section of the bus at a time its pretty cool cucumbers. I decided to wrap it in plastic flexi coil rather than heat shrink.

Such riveting pictures too, don't you think....:)

So, can someone elaborate........... I have green painted torsion bars for the rear and the spring plates (that came with the ute) are to large a diameter to fit the bars. I found another set of spring plates today thinking they would be correct but no, same as first.
Did torsion bars change size (spline #'s) in years or did spring plates change size (splines)?.... I'm about to lose my mind.

thanks in advance peeps....

spring plates in 68-71 are shorter than 72-79 , and torsion bars are diff dia, splines and trailing arms are also diff in lowlights
