Well I did the pie cut 1 1/8" worked out nice
The pic is dark but it give me the exact lift I was wanting. Had to notch hood for steering box.
Got 80% of the welds smoothed out, and sand blasted all the rattle can paint off.
Just another shot of the steering box section in hood.
In the pic of the cab you can see I got the gutters all lined up. Had to cut the bus gutter down about a 1/4" I think it all turned out nice. Wanted
to have it in primer but it didn't happen.

Got a little body work started last night. First coat of primer on back of cab. Now it's time for a few hours of block sanding.

Made some headlight brackets.
Got em mounted up. Fit rather nice. The plastic made em nice and tight.

Update
Front end all turned and re welded, tie rods and u joints complete. Not to happy with steering. Gonna change it up a bit.
I'm gonna brace the frame head just so you know.

Looks awesome mate, did you ever get RHD pedals?
Are you bringing it back to Oz or the UK?
If you want pedals I can get some do you need early or late?

Hi I have these early cast iron type pedals, brake and clutch no gas pedal, they will clean up nice. what are they worth to you?

Had a little free time so I messed with a shifter idea a bit. Gonna have to shorten it about 3"-4".
