The company is called Retrovan, and they are from South Africa.

Hi,

I've seen that thread on The Samba. How are these going, as I would like one for my 1970 Fastback?

Unfortunately it's been very slow going. The moulds are all done and I have made just one so far which had some processing issues that are almost expected to a degree but I have not got around to having a second shot yet.

The look of the surface on the first is as original though.

Okay, I'm in no hurry, but I don't want to miss out if these become available and are as good as they look like they will be.

[quote="vwfanatic67"]Got my dash installed in the notch. Looks amazing and is way sturdier than I thought. I first thought I would install it over the existing one for strength but when I came down to it I realized it would be much easier to use it by itself. I used the old one as a template for the bottom holes and drilled the top ones one at a time and had to trim to small areas on the top. Guages fit nicely. I did however feel it was nessecary to remove the two metal spacers out of a really bad dash I had to put behind the grab handle. All in all really simple installation and looks awesome. I got to do the one in my square next as I bought one early and one late one. Here are some pics of it installed.
