Attn VWFOOL...

Hi,
Please give me a call on 03 9533 2123 if you still want the Golde ragtop. Let me know if you don't want it so I can offer it to someone else.
Cheers

Sam

I can suggest a guy in Wollongong, who did my car and would be able to fit the roof section to your car.

Which model is the roof from and which year model do you want it put into??

Hi Sam,
I will try to get my mate round with his camera if poss. The roof is from a 67 base model. Fitting it is simply a matter of cutting a hole and very CAREFULLY welding it up again. Sounds simple doesn't it? Just glad that i don't have to do it.
Cheers

Hi Sam,

What are you planning on putting the roof on /into?

Yeah. Can't find a mechanic whose not booked out for two weeks so I did it myself with parts and some advice from Ben Durie (Thanks big fella).
The Dog (71 Baja) had a bad case of Trans incontinence and leaked a bit under 20 litres of 90 hypoid through it's left axel seal. Two bottom bolts rattled lose and both stub bolts I could wind off by hand.
Finished the internship and spent a couple of days this week trying to find a mechanic then gave up to do it myself when I found out I'm actually on holidays.

Hope the rag top works out for you mate. What colour are you going to or are you staying with yellow. So you couldn't find where those fumes were coming from then eh! Kidding. Call in some time or give me a ring when you going on a cruise one night.

Cheers,
Bronze.
Here a yellow ragtop from the AllVWForum.

The image didn't load but I know what you mean now I think. Not convertable but with a button in or slide along material roof. I was getting a bit worried their but I've always let each to their own.

Remember coming back from Sydney that time you were getting unexplained fumes in the cab and didn't know where they were coming from.

Anyhow, Glad your not cutting your Oval out.

The Bronze.
Kept my eyes out for your ride this weekend but didn't see it anywhere.
