advice for a learner dubber


hi guys, please excuse my ignorance but Im new to all things vw, i learnt to drive in mums back in the 70s but that was it.....so now i have picked up a beauty and was wondering how i tell what model it is, the old chap i bought it off said he bought it after the tassie bushfires in 67...the rego says 1/67...is there a build date or such stamped anywhere...there is a plate behind the spare with type 19 & chassis number etc but thats it.......guessing its a 66 but any help would be appreciated

What is the chassis number?



I read it on samba, so it must be correct.

Sometimes Volkswagen dealers sell spare parts. Amazing isn't it!:lol:
