Hip to be square??
Theres a square back Im intrested in buying, body had the rust cut out 2 yr ago and it was resprayed and had a reco engine put in at the same time.
Seems a good little runabout but I know nothing on what to offer for this wagon....and its make an offer.....what do ya reckon...
Can get more details if that helps...Oh has new carpet too but some interior ripped.
Owners also have sentimental values I feel.

Ree I love my sqback :thumb
They are great to drive, and are a very cool look
Have they hinted what they might accept.
I payed about 3-4 thou for Dr L but he had not previous rust and was original except for the sports steering wheel, extractors and front seats (:o )
Window rubbers are very perished but
I like the extractors and wheel :thumb
Will slam him a little in time:kiss
What year is it?? |

Its a 72,
dunno if i can get pics but I will find out some more today......these ppl are moving and cant take the square with them....if i wait a little...just
before they leave....might get it cheaper....My guess is its heading for the wreckers at the last minute if they cant sell because they definately
cant take it.
One thing she did mention was that she loved the car and would only sell it to a vw enthusist with money to spend on it....not exactly a car sales man
is she?? Least honest I guess. ummm a few other things... its automatic and needs new brake disks...thats all she could tell me, I have to speak to
her hubby today.

Mate if your 100% sure that they are leaving and can't take it and have no one else lined up I say wait. I had a guy near where I used to live
that was moving to Tassie and refused to take his beetle with him. He wanted $2400. Not worth that but worth more than the $500 I paid for it. With 9
mths rego. I left my number after first looking and driving and then waited. Didn't need the car at the time but kept going back to check on it.
Eventually he saw I was keen/persistant and 4 days before they flew out I got the call. Good timing to as I needed a car by then. Drove that little
car for years.
Good luck.

I had a square back, let it go unfortunately. Looking at another exactly the same, original owner. Has anyone seen UAM 817?

This ones not that nice.......
Told him Im thinking about it, they dont leave for another 4 weeks and although they have had the for sale sign up for 6 weeks they've had no
inquiries. I think its safe to wait a little while, Im gonna get a friend to come and have a look with me and then deside what to offer next week.
Take it for run also.
